NES-inspired Nikes look cool, won’t help you save Princess 19 November 2008 at 5:47 pm by admin

Leave it to Nike to make a video game fashion collaboration stylishly cool. Earlier this month, we showed you a pair of its surprisingly appealing Nintendo-inspired sneakers. Well, Nike just announced its second design in the series and this one is a little more unique than the first.

The Air Max Terra Ninety takes a couple of Nike’s most popular models and mashes them into a hybrid shoe reminiscent of the Air Max 90 and Max Air. The overall colorway retains the familiar Nintendo controller palette and also incorporates the Nintendo D-pad design into the midsole. Unlike other streetwear collaborations, Nike won’t require you to mortgage your firstborn son to pick up a pair of the Air Max Terra Nineties. They’re available now for an affordable $130.

Another pic after the break.

The D10 is a barebones rig with the classic Shuttle form factor, but the addition of a 7-inch (800 x 480) touchscreen out front makes things a little more interesting. Intel Core 2 Duo, Core 2 Duo E4000 series, Dual-Core E2000 series and Celeron 400 series processors are all supported with up to 4GB RAM, and the kit ships with an Intel GMA 3100 GPU, 5.1 channel audio and SATA II support. A base configuration is offered on Shuttle’s Japanese site with a 1.6GHz Celeron processor, 1GB RAM and a 80GB hard drive for ¥69,800 (about $648), but no — it isn’t available in the States.

+ SpeedFan Monitors Your Hardware, Controls Fans [Featured Windows Download] By admin 17 September 2008 at 1:00 pm and have No Comments

Windows only: Free application SpeedFan monitors the fan speed, temperature, voltage, and more of the components inside your computer. That’s all fine and dandy, but the marquee feature of SpeedFan is that you can actually adjust the speed of your fans by tweaking the desired temperatures on supported systems. Keep in mind that SpeedFan is a power-users tool, and the temp inside your computer isn’t to be taken lightly. However, if you’re comfortable tweaking hardware settings, an app like SpeedFan can help keep your computer running quieter and give you a little more control over what’s happening with your computer’s innards. If you’ve used SpeedFan in the past, share your experience in the comments. Mac users, check out previously mentioned smcFanControl.
