It looks like MSI has been pretty busy lately. We got a good look at the MSI Wind U120 about a week ago, and now the company’s back with a slew of new machines and we have plenty of details for you to savor. Most notably, the U115 is a 10-inch netbook featuring the Intel Atom Z530 processor, 1-2GB memory, and a hybrid SSD / hard drive storage system. The solid state drive (being smaller and theoretically faster) is meant to contain the OS while the hard drive is to be used for data. The U110 is basically the same as the U115, except it only ships with 1GB memory and there is no SSD included. Also introduced were the U150 (sadly enough with no specs, besides the fact that it also ships with both HDD and SSD storage) and the WindBox, an Atom N270-based nettop designed to be VESA-mounted to the back of your monitor. The WindBox should be available Q1 2009 for around €300. Keep reading after the break for a complete rundown of all the specs.

For now, Android’s got about as much enterprise support as a Sidekick (well okay, a little more, but not much) — so that’s got to be keeping G1s out of the hands of throngs who are too tied-down to Exchange, Notes, or some equally stuffy piece of server-side software to be able to make the switch. China’s QiJi feels your pain, which is where the company’s surprisingly okay-looking i6 comes into play: the handset supports both Android and Windows Mobile, although you can’t dual-boot — you’ve got to choose one and run with it until you decide to install the other. It packs a 624MHz processor, 256MB of ROM, 128MB of RAM, a trackball, and — in lieu of a QWERTY slide — an on-screen Chinese keyboard with stylus support that we haven’t seen before. Android, we love ya and all, but until you go through puberty, this mutli-platform support is just about the best thing we’ve ever heard.

Mmm, the Archos 7. Seven full inches of touchscreen loveliness, just waiting to be caressed as you slide over your favorite artists one by one. Poor attempts at seduction aside, this magnificent piece of PMP has been spotted in the wild over at ArchosLounge, and the lucky soul who managed to acquire it even took the time to spill his impressions… in French. From what we could gather via the wonders of Google Translator, the Archos 7 wasn’t actually a surefire upgrade for those with the 5, particularly not at the listed price. Still, the unit brought a lot of smiles to the face of the owner, and we’re pretty sure it’ll do the same for you. Click the read link for a few more looks.

Well, what do you know? That Samsung YP-P3, which was rumored back in May, is more than just a figment of someone’s vivid imagination. Thanks to the wonderful FCC, we now know that Sammy is pressing for approval to release its next-generation PMP here in the States, though that’s absolutely all that we know right now. There’s no attached user manual, no splendid internal / external photos and no other juicy details to pore over. But let’s focus on the positive, shall we? The P3 is for real, and it’s coming soon.

Merely weeks after a handful of TV broadcasters voiced their approval of the MPH mobile TV standard, the almighty ATSC has elevated its specification for Mobile Digital Television to Candidate Standard status. Or it will early next week, based on the futuristic December 1st date on the press release. Anywho, the thumbs-up brings the standard one huge step closer to actual implementation in the United States, though a final standard isn’t apt to be agreed upon until late next year. Not that the delay is really a problem — after all, a grand total of 19 people in this great nation even care about TV on the go, right?

“Bag of hurt” or no, it doesn’t look like Blu-ray is going to disappear any time soon. Firecoder Blu is Thomson’s new graphics card aimed at the HD set, and the second one based on Toshiba’s SpursEngine chip. Using same technology as the PS3, the chip is capable of hardware accelerated decoding of the MPEG2 and MPEG4 AVC/H.264 codecs, which lends the card some serious processing capabilities — the company claims it will transcode AVCHD files to and from MPEG2 up to five times faster than real time. On sale in Japan for ¥52,290 (US$539), those of us in the States should see the card sometime in December for $599.
